What is Suboxone®?

Suboxone is used to treat adults who are addicted to opiates (narcotics) like oxycodone or morphine, in conjunction with a comprehensive addiction treatment program that includes medical, social, and psychological assistance. When someone who is addicted to narcotics abruptly stops using them, they may experience severe withdrawal symptoms.

How to use Suboxone®

  • Suboxone is prescribed for at least two months. Stopping this medication on your own is not a good idea. When it’s time to stop using Suboxone, your doctor will tell you how to reduce the drug to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
  • Bodyweight, other medical issues, and other drugs can all influence the dosage of medication that a person requires. If your doctor has prescribed a dose that differs from the ones stated here, don’t adjust your medication’s dosage without first consulting your doctor.
  • It’s critical to follow your doctor’s instructions when using this medication. If you miss a dose, make sure to catch up as quickly as possible.

Side Effects of Suboxone

Common Suboxone side effects may include:

  • dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision, feeling drunk, trouble concentrating;

  • nausea, vomiting, constipation;
  • headache, back pain;
